MD Novel Chapter 8

The GGL became something of a cult. Amaya was considered a heroine and Fleshy a martyr in several mafia circles. This allowed GGL to carry out large scale recruiting operations – much like when shadesOG was enticed by Amaya’s legs to abandon GnR and jump ship. This recruitment boom not only multiplied the amount of GGL faithful, it also multiplied the enemies of the gang – Guns & Roses being the biggest rival.

What’s more, the two gangs would meet and kill each other. February 1st.

The tournament organizers said that the two gangs would meet at 9 P.M., in the backstreets of New York City.

The gangs prepared their respective representatives, and this caused a lot of internal conflict within the gangs. Everyone wanted to kill the opposition.

And the day came.

New York was close to snowing. The wind blew every window shut and New York City felt deserted. Everyone knew about the mafia battle – but no one could do anything about it. The collective force of the mafia underworld was strong enough to overwhelm even Dave the mafia collector.

The GnR representatives were walking on the streets, wary of every sound that permeated the deadly atmosphere. Okiethug and TheKissOfDawn leading the other three GnR mobsters who looked as if they didn’t want to be there.

A rustling sound in the garbage.

Three shots. BANG! BANG! BANG!

Okiethug was on the floor, screaming in pain.

“Fuck! I can’t fucking move!”

Both his knees were shot. TheKissOfDawn was on his knees, restraining the pain from being shot in the stomach area.

shadesOG walked calmly from the alley.

Three more shots thundering through the city.

The other three members of GnR dropped dead.

“I could take care of mobsters like those all day.”

Roblematique was holding a smoking Desert Eagle on one hand, a Black Russian on the other.

“shades… spare your loyal followers, remember when we were…”

BANG!

“Fuck off.”

Shades and Roblematique walked away.

GGL won the first match and began what the newspapers would eventually refer to as “Blood Red February.”
